Accounting Manager (General Ledger & Budgeting)

The Accounting Manager (General Ledger and Budgeting) oversees the General Ledger, accounting team, and budgeting for a nonprofit provider of supported living and related services. Responsibilities include managing GL entries, invoicing and receivables, cost allocations across divisions, FP&A support and annual budget development, financial analysis and reporting, vendor management and payables processing, payroll processing oversight, and maintaining compliance with program requirements. The role entails supervising accounting staff, validating timecard hours, reconciling discrepancies, processing payroll changes, and supporting state contract revenue and reimbursement workflows. Required skills include GAAP knowledge, analytical data interpretation, strong communication with management and state agencies, proficiency with web/Windows accounting platforms and Excel/Microsoft 365, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a dynamic nonprofit environment. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree or CPA is preferred. Starting wage is $33.50/hr with a wage scale of $33.50 – $40.50/hr; benefits are provided for full-time staff.
