Job Summary
Manage a team of Staff Accountants and Accounts Payable professionals, establishing performance expectations and allocating workload to ensure timely financial reporting and month-end close deadlines. Identify opportunities to simplify manual processes, standardize workflows, and automate tasks using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Tableau, and FloQast to drive efficiency and scalability. Oversee Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing and vendor payments, while maintaining internal controls and supporting audits. Provide technical accounting guidance, interpret GAAP standards, and analyze reports to offer insights for senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Active CPA license
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience including 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools
- Knowledge of ERP systems, database management and system integration techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- The ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time
- Ability to manage & interact with team members in a remote environment
- Willingness and able to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing Accounting, Accounts Payable or shared service accounting functions
- Demonstrated success implementing process improvements or system enhancements
- Professional certifications (e.g. Power Platform)
- Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Understanding of current accounting standards and regulations
