Accounting Manager

Job Summary
Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes while preparing and analyzing financial statements, management reports, and key metrics. Support project profitability reporting and partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and business performance insights. Maintain internal controls, coordinate with external auditors, and supervise team members. Assist with special projects, system implementations, and process improvements within a fast-paced technology services environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- prior experience in an accounting manager, senior accountant, assistant controller, or similar role
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll coordination, and cash management functions
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support a growing business environment
- Prior supervisory experience with the ability to coach, develop, and lead accounting staff
- Familiarity with PSA, ERP, CRM, or accounting systems commonly used in technology services organizations
Desired Qualifications
- NetSuite experience
- CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification
- Experience in IT consulting, managed services, professional services, Value-Added Reseller, or technology-based services environment
- Experience with project accounting, revenue recognition, contract billing, deferred revenue, and recurring revenue models
