Job Summary
Senior Accounting Manager responsible for leading SEC and external/internal financial reporting in a publicly traded manufacturing firm. You will oversee preparation of annual 10-K and quarterly 10-Q filings, lead financial statements review, and manage the broader financial reporting function, potentially supervising a small accounting team. The role requires a CPA, 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (public and/or private), strong communication and leadership abilities, and a proactive, technically proficient mindset. Preferred exposure to ASC 470, ASC 842, ASC 606 and ERP platforms like Oracle or SAP. The position is on-site in New York, NY.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation is required
- minimum seven years of progressive accounting experience
- experience supporting SEC reporting and external/internal financial reporting for a publicly traded manufacturing company
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to mentor junior team members
- experience with complex accounting standards (ASC 470, ASC 842, ASC 606) is preferred
- experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is a differentiator
