Job Summary
Prepare and complete month-end financial statements, calculate inventory valuations, and perform variance analyses to support the business unit. Collaborate with operations and sales to develop yearly and quarterly budgets, enter contracts into the fiber procurement program, and process adjustments and transactions. Produce monthly reports, recommend process improvements, and oversee a junior accountant through performance management, mentoring, and training. Manage general ledger, account reconciliation, and cash management with strong judgment and ethical standards. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required with five years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles with strong general ledger, account reconciliation, and cash management skills
- Proficient in accounting software programs
- Ability to self-direct and prioritize workflow
- Ability to exercise good judgment and manage the function, consistent with corporate and fiduciary principles and guidelines, while participating as a member of the local facility team
- High level of personal integrity and ethical and professional standards
- High degree of initiative
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience
