Job Summary
Lead a team of 1-2 local supervisors and 20 offshore accountants in managing Global closing activities, ensuring proper G/L reconciliations and financial statement integrity. Oversee full-cycle lease accounting under ASC 842 and IFRS 16, manage the end-to-end escheatment process, and support audits while maintaining a strong internal control environment. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes, drive automation, and execute special projects including M&A. Requires 5+ years of accounting experience, people management skills, and US GAAP knowledge. Hybrid schedule with 3+ days in Austin, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Dedication to working our Hybrid Model with 3+ days per week in our Austin, TX office
- 5+ years' experience in accounting/finance
- People management experience
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong knowledge of SOX
- Strong knowledge of standard accounting processes and controls
- ERP system experience
- Effective communication skills - including the capability to listen to the needs of others, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience applying these skills to resolve operational accounting process and system issues
- Customer focus and the ability to effectively collaborate and influence in a cross-functional environment
- Comfort with initiating and responding to change
- Demonstrated ability to leverage systems to improve accounting processes and controls
- Ability to set priorities
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks
