Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Oversee and direct all accounting functions for multiple agencies, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. Manage month-end and year-end close processes while preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify trends and enhance performance. Monitor cash flow, reconcile bank accounts, and lead internal and external audit activities as the primary contact for regulators. Develop budgets with department heads, guide pharmacy inventory accounting, and ensure compliance with federal and payer-specific regulations. Direct and mentor the accounting team through coaching, performance goal setting, and skills training. Collaborate with clinical leadership to align financial performance with patient care goals. Present at the corporate office daily with occasional travel for site visits.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of accounting experience
  • CPA license
  • Experience working with general ledgers (creating journal entries, establishing accruals, preparation of financial statements)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present financial data
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds independently
  • Must be present at the corporate office daily
  • Must be able to move through areas of the corporate office or other worksites of the organization
  • Must be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to actively participate in all staff activities aimed at fostering teamwork, unity, and morale
  • Must be required to stay current on all training and ongoing education initiatives
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening
  • Must be able to participate in required health assessments (such as TB testing or physical evaluations)
  • Must be able to use designated personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company policy and applicable law
