Job Summary
Lead financial reporting and analysis while managing development and grant-related accounting activities, including payroll processes and month-end close activities. Prepare and review journal entries, ensure compliance with GAAS and internal controls, and utilize advanced Excel functions for financial reporting. Collaborate with leadership and the accounting team to support the organization's financial health and long-term success in affordable housing initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting experience
- Strong financial reporting and financial analysis experience
- Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries and month-end close activities
- Solid understanding of GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards) and internal controls
- Proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and financial reporting functions
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work both strategically and hands-on within a collaborative team environment
