Job Summary
Review daily revenue and Night Audit reports, reconcile transactions, and verify banquet revenue and room rates. Manage accounts receivable, process credit card reconciliations, and prepare invoices for groups and events. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities while monitoring revenue and expenses. Supervise staff in the absence of the Director of Finance, ensuring reports are processed promptly and forecasts are accurate. Maintain organized financial records and ensure all transactions comply with hotel policies and accounting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and hospitality finance practices.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions.
- Experience training, mentoring, and supporting managers and team members.
- Proficient in reviewing financial reports, general ledgers, spreadsheets, and accounting systems.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills with the ability to build a motivated, cross-trained accounting team.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 pounds and perform limited bending or kneeling as needed to handle office equipment or supplies.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with hotel property management and accounting systems (such as Opera, Micros, or similar platforms) preferred.
