Job Summary
Oversee the full scope of the organization's financial leadership, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ongoing analysis of key performance metrics. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reconcile general ledger transactions, and manage short-term cash flow and risk mitigation strategies. Develop and monitor internal control structures for the Finance/Accounting department, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements. Lead the finance and accounting team while optimizing software systems and processes to support operational efficiency and business insights. Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting from both financial and operational perspectives, providing analysis on budget-to-actual variances and pertinent KPIs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 5 years of accounting and finance experience
- CPA
- Clear, proactive communication in written and spoken English
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Accounting (Quickbooks/SageIntacct), Reporting (PowerBI/Qvinci) knowledge
- Excellence with Office 365 programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and more
- Experience with CRM Software (NextGear Solutions/Salesforce)
- High degree of urgency in serving internal and external customers
- Work independently and efficiently as a reliable team member in a deadline-oriented environment
- Manage time effectively and adapt schedule to changing priorities
- Adept with technology and able to learn and operate industry-related software
- Committed to practicing continuous improvement
- Ability to consistently type, use a mouse, and look at a screen for extended periods
- Stand and sit for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Public accounting and job cost accounting experience
- Experience in general construction or building restoration
