Accounting Manager (copy)

Job Summary
Oversee the recurring month-end close by preparing journal entries, accruals, and prepaids while completing account reconciliations and investigating variances. Manage balance sheet and subledger reconciliations across the general ledger, support accounts payable, receivable, and billing in an automated environment, and process company payroll with full regulatory compliance. Take the first pass on revenue recognition by entering and configuring customer contracts under ASC 606 in NetSuite, and act as a power user across finance systems to maintain configurations and troubleshoot integrations. Identify process improvements by streamlining close tasks, building automations, and piloting AI-enabled workflows to reduce manual effort. Support the annual audit and maintain clear process documentation for owned areas.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close activities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including exposure to revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Hands-on experience with a major ERP
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfort working in a lean, fast-changing environment where you own outcomes end-to-end
- Genuine curiosity about, and comfort experimenting with, AI tools and new systems, and eagerness to adopt them to work smarter
- Currently legally authorized to work in the job location country and not require future sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- NetSuite
- CPA (or active candidate)
- Experience in SaaS, technology, or payments/fintech
- Experience using Anthropic's Claude in an accounting context
- Familiarity with our stack: Rippling, Ramp, Carta, Maxio, or comparable tools
- A track record of process improvement or automation — examples of manual work you eliminated or streamlined
