Job Summary
Accounting Manager for a prestigious investment management firm focusing on corporate investment fund accounting, transactional accounting, and operations. Responsibilities include maintaining books and records for the management company and general partner entities, managing offshore accounting activities, preparing analyses for new entities/funds, recording journal entries for corporate investments and incentive compensation accounting, coordinating accounting research with management and external auditors, acting as liaison across Accounting/Tax/Finance, supporting SEC filings (10Q/10K) with disclosures reviews, and driving process improvements and automation opportunities while maintaining internal controls. CPA is preferred; 3-5 years of accounting experience and strong US GAAP knowledge are required; SAP-BPC and Workday experience are a plus; proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint is expected. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (and/or equivalent experience)
- CPA preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting, operations, account analysis, and management reporting
- Asset manager industry experience is a plus
- Excellent understanding of business operations and linkage to accounting in order to initiate and lead process improvements and documentation of standard operating procedures
- Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems
- Specific experience with SAP - BPC and Workday systems a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
