Job Summary
Lead daily accounting and financing support activities, directing the monthly close and ensuring accurate GAAP-basis financial reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual periods. Manage balance sheet and bank reconciliations, oversee disbursement controls, and prepare quarterly operating and cash forecasts. Build and develop a high-performing team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management while partnering cross-functionally to improve processes and strengthen internal controls. Coordinate with third-party valuation firms for retained mortgage servicing rights and interpret legal agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment. Reporting to the Controller, this role supports lender requirements, regulatory compliance, and external audits. Based onsite in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, the position offers a salary range of $110K–$125K with comprehensive benefits including PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) match.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years' financial experience, including general ledger accounting, month-end close, and treasury and disbursement management
- 2+ years' experience in treasury operations, loan funding, corporate banking, or a related finance function
- 2+ years' leadership experience
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years' mortgage experience preferred
- Experience with an LOS (Encompass), a general ledger system (NetSuite), and a document management system strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of bank account administration, cash management, and treasury operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
