Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of client accounts across multiple industries while serving as the primary accounting contact. Review accounting work prepared by staff and senior accountants to ensure accuracy and completeness, overseeing month-end and year-end close processes for client accounts. Mentor and develop accounting team members, coordinate internal resources to meet deadlines, and communicate directly with clients regarding financial results and accounting matters. Evaluate client processes to recommend improvements and assist with onboarding new clients by reviewing their existing records. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, and proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 2 years of experience managing or supervising accounting staff
Desired Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Experience in public accounting or outsourced/client accounting environments
- Experience reviewing the work of others and overseeing financial reporting
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, preferably QuickBooks Online
- Strong experience with financial statement preparation and month-end close processes
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with additional accounting systems or ERP platforms
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to analyze financial information and identify improvement opportunities
