Job Summary
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes for a multi-location home health organization, managing a team of six accountants and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare monthly location-level variance analyses with explanations for leadership review and independently resolve reconciliation issues. Assist with internal and external audits, including payer and regulatory inquiries, while providing financial analysis on productivity, payer mix, and margin to support operational decisions. Liaise with operational leaders using KPIs to drive meaningful metrics and support process automation or acquisition implementations. Requires 5+ years of accounting experience with 2+ in supervision, GAAP knowledge, and 25% travel. Hybrid/remote work available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years' experience in accounting
- 2+ years in supervisory position
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing / reimbursement
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise accounting staff
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and operations leaders
- Ability to manage in a Hybrid/Remote environment
- Travel required up to 25% a year
