Job Summary
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes for a multi-location home health organization, managing a team of six accountants and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Lead monthly location-level variance analysis with explanations for leadership, independently resolving reconciliation issues, and supporting internal and external audits including payer inquiries. Provide financial analysis on productivity, payer mix, and margin by service line to drive operational decisions, while assisting with fleet analytics and process automation. Liaise with operational leaders using KPIs to support strategic initiatives. Requires 5+ years accounting experience with a Bachelor's degree, GAAP knowledge, and 25% travel. Hybrid/remote work available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years' experience in accounting
- 2+ years in supervisory position
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing / reimbursement
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise accounting staff
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and operations leaders
- Ability to manage in a Hybrid/Remote environment
- Travel required up to 25% a year
