Job Summary
Oversee general accounting operations by performing account reconciliations, event accounting, and generating error-free reports for the Director of Finance. Manage day-to-day activities including accounts payable, general ledger, and treasury functions while auditing documents to substantiate financial transactions. Assist in month-end closing, budget preparation, and invoice processing for accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy in all accounting tasks. Train and mentor senior accountants, maintain vendor files, and prepare special financial reports by analyzing trends. Adhere to internal controls and confidentiality standards while interpreting accounting policies to address procedural questions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of seven (7) years related knowledge, experience, and skills in accounting, account reconciliations, accounts receivable and maintenance of financial records
- Valid State Driver License
- Excellent understanding of relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills
- Demonstrates excellent time management and organizational skills with an attention to details
- Ability to work ethically and maintain confidentiality
- Must possess superb verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly speak and write Business English
- Ability to apply accounting principles to the maintenance of complex fiscal and accounting records
- Knowledgeable of accounting principles and practices
- Must have excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office and using spreadsheets and accounting software
- Ability to strategically and critically think, use good judgment, problem solve, plan and coordinate programs
- Must be flexible enough to reach above shoulder level
- Must be able to push and pull for brief periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs with or without assistance
- Must be available for weekend shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in accounting or a related field
- CPA
