Job Summary
Manage the organization's day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Oversee the monthly accounting cycle, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. Support budgeting, financial reporting, audit preparation, grant accounting, and revenue cycle financial reconciliations while maintaining compliance with GAAP and applicable federal and state regulations. Perform accounting data entry and transaction processing as needed, collaborating with finance and operational departments to maintain accurate financial records and support organizational decision-making. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer at Arbor Family Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center serving Pointe Coupee, West Baton Rouge, and Iberville Parishes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Accounting experience preferred
- Experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with grant accounting, audit preparation, financial reporting, and revenue cycle accounting
- Experience working independently and managing multiple priorities
