Job Summary
Accounting Manager responsible for supervising day-to-day accounting, treasury and operational tasks for an assigned portfolio of real estate investments; duties include training and evaluating staff, improving accounting processes, participating in monthly close, audits, budgets/projections, deal closings (acquisitions, dispositions, financing), and coordinating with management, lenders and investors. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred), 3+ years of real estate investment accounting/operations experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; RealPage experience is a plus. The role is on-site in Philadelphia, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA designation preferred
- 3+ years of Real estate investment accounting/operations experience at an owner/operator/lender or third-party administrator
- Strong leadership abilities and a proven track record in team management
- Ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment
- Motivated and dependable team player with impeccable ethics who maintains strict confidentiality
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Sound business acumen and decision-making skills with an aptitude for identifying when issues need escalation to senior management
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with RealPage software is a big plus but not required
