Accounting Lead, Receivables and Financial Reporting

Job Summary
Manage month-end closing, including preparation and review of monthly financial statements, and oversee quarterly and annual closing of the accounts receivable subledger in compliance with IFRS. Lead the Accounts Receivable function from order release to reconciliation, implementing policies for past due invoices, credit matching, and erroneous credits to ensure strong inbound cash flow. Guide direct reports on annual goals, monitor aging buckets and high-risk accounts to meet DSO targets, and conduct monthly AR reviews to define collection strategies. Review and ensure accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations, prepare Canadian sales tax filings, and assist with annual corporate year-end tax returns. Support internal, external, and regulatory audit processes while ensuring all transactions comply with external and internal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 1-2 years of people management
- A recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, or equivalent) or working towards
- Proven experience with financial systems, particularly experience with an ERP system
- Experience in a large, complex corporate environment
- Advanced level skills using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
- At least three days required on site
