Accounting Intern

Job Summary

Enter and maintain financial data in accounting systems and spreadsheets with high accuracy. Organize invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare items for accounts payable processing. Support accounts receivable activities by filing records, tracking payments, and performing account reconciliations. Assist with bank reconciliations, monthly financial close activities, and general ledger journal entries under supervision. Prepare financial summaries and reports using Microsoft Excel while maintaining strict confidentiality of financial information. Participate in department meetings and training sessions to support educational learning objectives. Work a flexible schedule of 10 to 16 hours per week during normal business hours to accommodate academic commitments.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a junior or senior at an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Coursework in accounting, finance, or business-related subjects is required.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college or university accounting or finance program is required.
  • A post-offer drug and alcohol screen is a requirement for employment.
  • The employee is subject to random drug/alcohol screenings throughout the duration of their employment with True Health.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or administrative experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, work with attention to detail, and manage multiple tasks in a professional environment.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification or other relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
