Job Summary
Conduct general ledger entries, month-end close processes, and reporting for the corporate accounting team. Assist with job setup, document filing, and retrieval while learning accounting policies and construction industry procedures. Seek out additional tasks as time allows and maintain positive professional relationships internally and externally. Travel occasionally to construction job sites throughout Southern California; reliable transportation is required. This temporary, part-time internship runs from Fall 2026 through Spring 2027, with a flexible schedule accommodating the candidate's class.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an Accounting or Finance degree program or similar discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to drive for results
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must be able to travel to construction job sites throughout the Southern California region on an occasional basis
- Reliable transportation is required
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
Desired Qualifications
- Prior exposure to construction industry is a plus
