Job Summary
Attend accounting team meetings as an observer to understand daily operations and gain insight into month-end close processes. Learn the fundamentals of journal entries, trial balances, and financial statements while assisting with balance sheet and bank reconciliations. Run reports from the accounting and reporting system and perform data comparison assignments within the general ledger. Observe monthly results reviews with North America and global finance teams to understand post-close assessment methods. This 20 to 30-hour weekly internship in Tampa offers hands-on learning for students in accounting or finance, mentored directly by the Accounting Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must be in process of earning a degree in accounting or finance related field
- Excellent organizational skills
- Interpersonal communication
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Must be able to work in office
- Must be able to work 20 to 30 hours per week
