Job Summary
Accounting Grant Compliance Specialist to perform accounting/clerical services in compliance with federal, state, county, and district accounting. Core functions include monitoring grant expenditures to ensure funds are used according to approved grant applications and regulations; tracking grant timelines, deliverables, and milestones; performing frequent drawdowns of grant funds; maintaining accurate records and documentation; ensuring compliance with all regulations; serving as the primary point of contact for grant-related inquiries; creating reports and assisting with audits; researching discrepancies; maintaining and updating the grants capital plan; assisting with updating district accounting software; performing other duties as assigned; and collaborating with district personnel to improve efficiency and compliance. Proficiency with district accounting policies and ability to work with standard software products are required; background check and fingerprint clearance are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent coursework and experience
- Three or more years of relevant experience
- Certified Public Accountant desirable
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- Ability to hold an IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Good human relations and communication skills
- Broad knowledge of relevant district, state, and federal policies and laws
- Excellent computer skills and ability to work with standard software products
