Job Summary
Accounting Clerk responsible for managing day-to-day financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and preparation of reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements; will work with senior personnel on projects and support multiple departments as needed; must use QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping software, maintain accuracy, detect fraud, and communicate findings clearly through presentations; requires at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience and a high school diploma, with MS Office and accounting software proficiency and strong attention to detail; positions emphasizes integrity and professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- +2 years of experience as an accounting/bookkeeping clerk
- High school diploma is mandatory
- Accounting coursework from an accredited institution preferred
- Skilled in using MS Office and popular accounting software
- Possesses eye for attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Integrity; a position that requires one to maintain an entire organization’s financial records requires one’s moral character to be of the highest fibre
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, best practices and terminology
