Job Summary
Accounting Clerk III at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Responsibilities include receiving, logging, and certifying invoices; generating payment documents; ensuring transactions align with approved allowances; tracing and resolving discrepancies related to accounts payable; maintaining and entering data in UFMS; monitoring inquiries from USAO staff, vendors, and stakeholders; collecting and summarizing data to support budget activities; and reviewing obligations and expenditures for accuracy. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (preferred) with minimum two years accounts payable experience; advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Outlook and Word/PowerPoint; and strong customer service abilities. This is a full-time position based in Philadelphia, PA with a total hourly compensation described in the posting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an accounting or finance related field - preferred
- Minimum two years’ experience with accounts payable, including reviewing invoices and processing transactions in a financial system.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and the Windows Operating System.
- Experience with other Microsoft Office programs such as Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Good customer service skills, both written and verbal.
