Job Summary
Accounting Clerk needed to join Nicola Real Estate to support day-to-day transactional processing and bookkeeping for Real Estate funds and related entities. Responsibilities include processing payables and receivables, preparing journal entries and invoices, managing banking duties (electronic and cheque payments) and foreign exchange, referencing invoices to contracts for accuracy, ensuring timely vendor payments, assisting in monthly financial statements, preparing monthly/quarterly tax reporting including GST, handling correspondence with external parties, and maintaining strong working relationships with the Finance and Real Estate teams and external stakeholders. Requires 1-2 years of relevant experience, a certificate/diploma in Accounting, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with Yardi preferred; ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and work both independently and in a team. Legal eligibility to work in Canada is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Certificate or diploma in Accounting (equivalent experience considered)
- Familiarity with Yardi software is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer
