Job Summary
Accounting Clerk responsible for maintaining financial records and ensuring up-to-date books, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, invoicing, and bank reconciliations. Will prepare and present reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements; collaborate with senior personnel and other departments; maintain accuracy and guard against fraud. Requires proficiency with MS Office and accounting software (notably QuickBooks), strong attention to detail, and effective written and oral communication to support various financial projects across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- +2 years of experience as an accounting/bookkeeping clerk.
- High school diploma is mandatory; accounting coursework from an accredited institution preferred.
- Skilled in using MS Office and popular accounting software.
- Possesses eye for attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Integrity; a position that requires one to maintain an entire organization’s financial records requires one’s moral character to be of the highest fibre.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, best practices and terminology.
