Job Summary

The Breeder Accounting Clerk at Pilgrim’s processes internal financial documents and data, analyzes information, and prepares internal reports. Responsibilities include monitoring, inputting, and reviewing weekly Breeder and Pullet performance data; recording and reporting Breeder and Pullet production costs; analyzing cost center variances; calculating and processing Breeder and Pullet production bonuses; gathering cost information for internal and external studies and for Agri-Stats reporting; assisting the Live Accounting manager with budgeting for Breeder and Pullet production costs; completing monthly audits for assigned areas; tracking various rent and remodel cost changes and submitting data for payroll; providing weekly/monthly backups for Hatchery Coordinator and Broiler Accounting Clerk duties; and performing other tasks as assigned. Qualifications emphasize 1–3 years of related accounting experience, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, SAP, and analytical/project skills. An Associate’s degree in accounting is preferred. An emphasis on safety, process improvement, and continuous improvement (Six Sigma) is highlighted, along with a strong emphasis on teamwork and accurate financial processing.
