Job Summary
The Accounting Clerk role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions in QuickBooks, managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and supporting month-end close. The candidate will prepare reports, monitor AR aging, follow up on outstanding balances, resolve billing discrepancies, and collaborate with sales and operations to ensure compliant financial operations. Required and preferred experience includes: high school diploma with an associate degree or certification in accounting, prior clerical/financial roles, proficiency in MS Office and accounting software, strong numerical/data analysis skills, attention to detail, and the ability to travel locally as needed. The position emphasizes proactive communication, customer-facing interactions, and adherence to internal procedures and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or a relevant certification strongly preferred
- Experience as Accounting Clerk, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or Accounts Payable Clerk
- Customer-facing or customer service experience desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office, bookkeeping fundamentals, basic accounting procedures, and financial software/databases
- Analytical skills with experience managing spreadsheets and financial reports
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to undertake occasional local travel
