Job Summary
Accounting clerk will manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable using bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks), receive and record cash, reconcile bank statements, handle payroll, prepare invoices, and monitor overdue accounts. The role produces reports including profit and loss statements, financial statements, and balance sheets, and keeps management informed through presentations. Emphasis on accuracy to guard against fraud, with strong attention to detail, and requires proficiency in MS Office and accounting software, plus clear communication and integrity.
Required Qualifications
- +2 years of experience as an accounting/bookkeeping clerk.
- High school diploma is mandatory; accounting coursework from an accredited institution preferred.
- Skilled in using MS Office and popular accounting software.
- Possesses eye for attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Integrity; a position that requires one to maintain an entire organization’s financial records requires one’s moral character to be of the highest fibre.
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, best practices and terminology.
