Job Summary
Accounting Assistant responsible for providing general accounting assistance to the Accounting & Finance department, including reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies, general filing and data entry, maintaining digital and physical financial records, reconciling A/R settlements as needed, and other administrative accounting duties; may perform special account research, analysis, and reconciliation projects, and assist with primary accounting cycles (A/R, A/P, Fixed Assets).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting required
- Minimum 1+ years required experience in an office setting and/or relevant accounting work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite (must have working knowledge of Excel)
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to effectively handle a large number of transactions with strong attention to accuracy
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and US GAAP, a plus
- Flexibility in schedule for overtime during month’s end
