Job Summary
As an Accounting and Transaction Advisory Senior Associate, you will be part of the Capital Markets Accounting Advisory Services team, providing accounting advice through various capital market transactions and accounting change projects. You will work collaboratively to prepare complex accounting calculations, quarterly and annual financial statements, and management reporting. Responsibilities include supporting clients during IPO readiness and other market transactions, researching technical accounting matters, and preparing accounting whitepapers. The role requires fluency in English and French, and successful candidates will have a strong background in accounting principles with a Canadian CPA or equivalent certification.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Canadian CPA, equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation, or internationally trained accountant
- Experience working in either financial accounting and reporting, deals environment, or in public company audits
- A strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and ASPE is desirable
Desired Qualifications
- Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and an aptitude for technology and innovation
- Fluency in English and French
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced and changing project-based environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
