Accounting and Transaction Advisory Senior Associate (Bilingual FR/EN)

Job Summary
Support the team and clients through capital market transactions including IPO readiness and BAR Reports, while assisting with accounting change projects such as GAAP conversions and new standard implementations. Collaborate with Deals teams to evaluate accounting implications for buy/side transactions, valuations, and business combinations, then prepare complex calculations, quarterly/annual financial statements, and management reporting to drive insights. Research technical accounting matters, draft diagnostic reports and whitepapers, and respond promptly to ad hoc client requests within a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment. This newly created role within PwC Canada's Capital Markets Accounting Advisory Services team supports clients through exceptional change and transformational events.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in either financial accounting and reporting, a deals environment, or in public company audits
- Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in French
Desired Qualifications
- A strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and ASPE
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment and communicate status of projects proactively
- Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and an aptitude for technology and innovation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to work through complex and challenging client projects
