Job Summary
Accounting Analyst responsible for complex accounting analysis, monthly preparation and analysis of estimated contractual adjustments, charity and bad debt, Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements, and the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, Federal/State and Local tax returns, reporting to the COPN Regulatory Authority, and cost analysis. The role involves interpreting and communicating federal and state regulations, managing priorities with independent judgement, and serving as a liaison with regulatory bodies, external consultants, auditors, and leadership. Requires 1 year accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, and strong Excel skills (Pivot tables and advanced formulas). Preferred: Healthcare accounting/finance experience and a Masters in a related field; CPA (preferred).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance/Business with concentration in Accounting (Required)
- 1 year Accounting experience with Analysis/Budget/Financial Statements (Required)
- Experience in Healthcare Accounting/Finance (Preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - The AICPA (Preferred)
- Excellent Excel skills with Pivot tables and advanced formulas (required)
