Job Summary
Analytical Accounting Analyst focused on data-driven reporting and Excel-based solutions. Responsibilities include partnering with accounting, payroll, and operations to deliver reporting and analysis; identifying trends and discrepancies; building and maintaining Excel-based reports, models, and templates; transforming raw data into structured outputs; supporting month-end close with reconciliations and variance analysis; creating scalable tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls; investigating data issues, determining root causes, and implementing practical solutions; supporting audit readiness and documentation; driving process improvements across accounting and operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, cost/expense analysis, reconciliations, accruals, month-end close and general ledger activity
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data analysis tools)
- Experience building reports, models, or templates from complex or raw data
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain data clearly
