Accounting Analyst

Job Summary

Enter and manage accounts payable transactions in Intacct, verify employee expense reports and timesheet coding, and assist in assembling invoices. Perform routine accounting tasks including data entry, account reconciliation, and preparation of supporting documentation for financial statements. Maintain organized records of financial transactions and receipts for audit and compliance purposes. Support the team in generating reports and contributing to continuous process improvement efforts. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of financial transactions to maintain operational integrity.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in basic accounting tasks, including AP processing, expense review, and invoicing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other standard office software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial transactions and documentation
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and other stakeholders
  • Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Intacct accounting software or similar accounting systems
  • Certification: CPA or other relevant accounting certifications
  • Experience in Nonprofit Sector: Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
  • Grants Management: Familiarity with grants management and federal grant reporting requirements
