Job Summary
Prepare month-end close by completing assigned tasks, analyzing P&L fluctuations, and preparing journal entries. Execute balance sheet reconciliations and support Asset Backed Securitization transactions, including GL balance carve out work, intercompany reconciliation, and billing. Assist with monthly variance analysis to support reporting to management while collaborating with teams to resolve financial issues and ensure accuracy. Lead the team to meet tight deadlines, drive continuous process improvement, and train junior staff on accounting functions. This role blends accounting knowledge with data analysis within Zayo Europe's fast-paced connectivity infrastructure environment.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
- At least 5 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS365 products
- Strong analytical skills to define problems, gather relevant data, and draw actionable conclusions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization and across departments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Oracle, Salesforce and/or OneStream a plus
- Experience in the telecommunications industry a plus
