Job Summary
Accountant – IFRS16 at Volvo Group in Bangalore, responsible for Lease Accounting records, period-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation/review of financial statements. Collaborates with Volvo Group Partners, supports internal/external audits, ensures internal controls and SOX compliance, and analyzes transactions under IFRS and Volvo policies. Requires experience with IFRS16Lease accounting, SAP/ERP, advanced Excel/BI tools, and familiarity with Blackline/Nakisa; strong English communication, analytical skills, and a teamwork mindset. Office-based role with potential shift hours during close; opportunity to contribute to financial reporting and process improvements within a global manufacturing/shared service environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Commerce
- 1 to 3 years of IFRS16 Lease Accounting experience
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- BI tools experience
- SAP/ERP exposure (GL, AP, AR, FA)
- End user experience with Blackline, Nakisa
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Strong analytical skills
- Good IT skills/technical expertise
- Teamwork attitude and service minded
- Ability to learn accounting flows across systems
- Willingness to work in shifts during close cycle
