Job Summary
Conduct month-end closes for assigned entities by posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and ensuring revenue recognition compliance. Maintain general ledgers in Xero, process intercompany transactions, and manage accounts payable and receivable cycles including vendor disputes and overdue balances. Perform monthly bank reconciliations, post payroll journals, and support statutory filings and audit queries. Act as the primary finance contact for entity-related queries and collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad hoc reporting. Deliver close packs within 10 working days of month end. Bachelor's degree in accounting with 5-7 years of experience required; professional qualification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance operations with hands-on experience in month-end close and general ledger management
- Experience with Xero or a similar cloud-based accounting system
- Strong attention to detail — comfortable self-reviewing work before submission and maintaining a high standard of accuracy
- Able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously across different entities or workstreams
- Good communication skills — able to respond to queries clearly and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- professional qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred or in progress
- Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction accounting environment
- Exposure to intercompany accounting and group consolidation processes
- Experience in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth company environment
- Familiarity with Southeast Asian, UAE, US, or ANZ accounting and tax requirements
