Job Summary
Detail-oriented Accountant with 3–5 years of experience is needed to join the Finance Team and support day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple entities and jurisdictions. The role involves processing accounts payable/receivable, bank and payment-platform reconciliations across currencies (including Wise and Airwallex), recording foreign currency gains/losses, maintaining the general ledger in Xero, assisting month-end/year-end close, supporting intercompany accounting, VAT/GST filings, and collaborating with external accountants and tax advisors. The ideal candidate will manage multi-entity/ multi-country operations, leverage advanced Excel skills, ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, and identify process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or multi-country environment
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software (essential)
- Practical experience using international payment platforms such as Wise and Airwallex
- Strong understanding of multi-currency accounting, including FX revaluations and hedging concepts
- Solid knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and GAAP/IFRS fundamentals
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation)
- Familiarity with VAT/GST reporting obligations in at least one international jurisdiction
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional qualification)
- Partially or fully qualified in a recognized accounting body (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA)
