Job Summary
Prepare for audits, reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and AR schedules, and balance the ledger to maintain high production and accuracy. Assist the department manager with month-end close activities, budgeting, forecasting, and financial information requests. Cross-train on critical duties to provide backup support to the Manager of Accounting while updating schedules during year-end auditing. Work closely with the manager to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain confidentiality of work materials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or Business
- At least two years' experience in accounting or a related field
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Self-motivated individual with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Ability to multitask
- Must have strong attention to detail and flexibility
- Recognize the need for follow-thru and follow-up
- Ability to work within specified timeframe and meet deadlines
- Recognize and maintain confidentiality of work materials as appropriate
- Highly skilled and proficient in Microsoft Excel
