Job Summary
Detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities in the Chicago market. Responsibilities include managing and supporting accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, preparing and posting journal entries, assisting with month-end close, performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred), 3–5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and ERP experience a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AR, AP, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and journal entries
- Solid understanding of GAAP and strong Excel skills; ERP system experience a plus
