Job Summary
Coordinate with Accounts Payable to verify vendor invoices and employee expenses, while preparing and filing sales tax and GST returns for Canada. Manage biweekly cash flow reports to monitor liquidity, assist Accounts Receivable activities including client onboarding and contract reviews, and lead month-end closing procedures involving journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances, support external audits with documentation, and drive process improvements through automation initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and prepare Budget Vs Actual reporting. Leverage expertise in accounting principles and financial reporting to support the company's growth trajectory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in professional accounting roles
- Proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Experience with accounting software
