Job Summary
Process journal entries, maintain the chart of accounts, and prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations while investigating discrepancies. Audit petty cash funds and inventory, manage fixed asset records, and administer the purchasing card program. Serve as functional supervisor for Accounts Payable, process weekly check runs, and prepare year-end audit workpapers. Prepare tax filings for unclaimed property and sales taxes to ensure regulatory compliance. Maintain the department webpage and support the ERP system. Exempt, 40 hours weekly. Bachelor's in Accounting with 3-5 years of experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of experience in a related field
- 2-3 years of experience with a computerized accounting system
- Skilled in general accounting practices
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make timely decisions
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with coworkers and customers, including effectively resolving conflict and customer service issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Workday, and the ability to learn new systems and software
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate events, programs, and projects from planning through completion
- Ability to lead by example and foster a positive, collaborative work environment
