Job Summary
Generate regular financial reports for management review and coordinate daily financial operations, including monthly reporting and month-end close activities. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with departments to develop and monitor budgets. Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure accounting systems comply with regulations and internal audit requirements. Lead annual budget preparation and produce ad-hoc reports for external and internal stakeholders. This role supports the Helicopter Programs business in Langley, BC, where you will work within the management team to drive operational efficiency and financial insight.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
- Team player who thrives in an ever-challenging environment
Desired Qualifications
- Industry experience in manufacturing or aerospace sector preferred
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or other related field ideal
- Experience with public company reporting, internal audit or corporate SOX compliance is an asset
- Holds or is actively pursuing a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA). Individuals with an equivalent mix of experience and education will also be considered
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SQL
- Experience with Oracle, Wands, Navixa or ability to learn new ERP systems quickly
