Accountant/Senior Accountant

Job Summary
Conduct monthly and annual reporting for a portfolio of companies while maintaining ownership of the general ledger to ensure entries are accurate and compliant with accounting standards. Perform routine ledger reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and manage day-to-day transactional accounting including accounts payable, journal postings, and intercompany reconciliations. Oversee payroll operations to ensure correct cost allocation and manage fixed asset registers. Support preparation for internal and external audits and actively participate in financial transformation projects to streamline processes. Fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with proficiency in Xero and Excel. Competitive salary, pension, health care, 25 days holiday, and flexible working hours.
Required Qualifications
- Fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Post-qualification experience
- Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Solid understanding of general ledger maintenance
- Solid understanding of accounting controls
- Proven experience with transactional finance
- Proven experience with reconciliations
- Proven experience with intercompany accounting
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Xero)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
