Job Summary
Perform general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis as part of the monthly close process. Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including multi-entity consolidations. Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and timely recording. Support preparation of schedules and documentation for external audits and tax filings. Reconcile bank statements and intercompany accounts; research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain fixed asset records including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules. Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis by providing accurate financial data and reports. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards. Support continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and documentation. Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by finance leadership. Participate in ERP or accounting system upgrades and implementations. This foundational finance role supports Sedron Technologies' circular waste management technologies for agricultural manure and municipal biosolids processing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of general accounting experience
- CPA designation or active pursuit
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of financial record-keeping
- Working knowledge of financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines during high-volume close periods
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong working knowledge of excel
- Integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information
- Must have effective verbal, reading, and written communication skills in the English language
- Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
- Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident
- Must comply with all state and federal laws regarding drug and alcohol-free work environment
- Must pass applicable pre-employment drug testing and a background check
