Job Summary
Maintains general records of accounts and subsidiary ledgers, prepares financial reports, verifies payment vouchers, and advises on automated and manual financial systems. Exercises independent judgment under supervision, may supervise clerical staff, and ensures compliance with federal and state grant accounting requirements. Roles include setting up accounting systems, reconciling manual and automated records, producing standard or specialized financial reports, and training others in routine posting and filing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or closely related field with accounting coursework (18 semester hours) or an Associate's degree with 18 accounting credits and two years of accounting/auditing experience
