Job Summary
Accountant / Bookkeeper position for a remote South Africa-based role supporting a flooring retail and home improvement business. Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing AP/AR, performing bank, vendor, customer, and inventory reconciliations, supporting month-end close, and producing financial reports using QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop. Emphasizes accuracy, process consistency, inventory-driven accounting, and clear communication with internal teams in a remote work setup.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong QuickBooks experience, either Online, Desktop, or both
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience performing reconciliations and supporting month-end close
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Excellent organizational and communication skills in a remote work setting

- Experience working with inventory-based businesses
- Accounting experience in flooring, construction, retail, warehousing, distribution, or home improvement
- Experience supporting financial reporting for business owners or operations teams
